MSA Sculpture conference: Atlanta 2015


We are thrilled by the undeniable success of the MSA Sculpture Conference: Atlanta 2015! MSA partnered with Eyedrum Art & Music Galleries, Georgia State University Ernest G. Welch School of Art & Design, The City of Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs, and Fulton County Arts & Culture to deliver a great weekend of learning, sharing and networking. The conference schedule included:


THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 17TH

  • Self-guided tour of Outdoor Exhibition on GSU Campus
  • Registration at Eyedrum 2-4:30pm
  • Student Open Image from 3:30-5:30pm
  • Indoor & Outdoor Exhibition Openings at Eyedrum 6-8pm
  • MSA Social with DJ Flux 308, aka MSA President, Isaac Duncan II at Eyedrum 8-?PM

FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 18TH

  • Self-guided tour of Outdoor Exhibition on GSU Campus
  • Workshops, Demos and more 10-12:35pm
  • “Atlanta Infrastructure and Public Art” panel 2-4pm at the GSU Student Center Ballroom
  • Exhibition Opening at the Ernest G. Welch School of Art & Design Galleries from 4-5:30pm
  • Keynote Speaker Joseph Becherer 6-7pm at the GSU Student Center
  • Keynote Reception 7-8pm

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 19TH

  • Self-guided tour of Outdoor Exhibition on GSU Campus
  • Workshops, Demos and more 10-12pm & 3-5pm
  • All Day Iron Pour, First Tap 2:30-3pm
  • "Contracts and Artist Rights: What We Need to Know" panel 1:30-3:00 
  • Guest Speaker Joyce J. Scott 3:30-4:30pm at the GSU Student Center Auditorium
  • Guest Speaker Reception 4:30-5pm
  • Master's Award Dinner honoring George Beasley 6-8pm at the GSU Student Center Ballroom

SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 20TH

  • Self-guided tour of Outdoor Exhibition on GSU Campus
  • Annual Board Meeting 10-11am
  • Scholarship Awards and Closing Ceremony 11:00 -11:30am
