2025 Siskin Hospital - Grady's Garden, Chattanooga
Overview Mid-South Sculpture Alliance, in partnership with Siskin Hospital in Chattanooga, TN, is inviting artists to submit their work for an outdoor public art exhibition at Grady’s Garden. The garden is a palliative site within the hospital’s Healing Garden. This serene and therapeutic space offers a unique opportunity for artists to contribute to the hospital’s healing environment through impactful sculptural works designed to inspire hope. We are seeking two captivating sculptures that will be displayed for a period of two years. Siskin Hospital has expressed interest in the possibility of permanently acquiring pieces and reserves the first right of refusal with respect to the sale/purchase of any exhibition artworks. About Mid-South Sculpture Alliance: The Mid-South Sculpture Alliance is dedicated to advancing the creation and awareness of sculpture in its many forms. We promote a supportive environment for sculptors and seek to foster dialogue between artists, art professionals, and the wider community. About Grady’s Garden: Named for Grady Pascal Williams, Chattanoogan civic leader and philanthropist, Grady’s Garden features a thoughtfully designed natural space with a large pavilion and areas for patients and the general public to gather or rest. Grady’s Garden is just one area in Siskin Hospital’s expanding system of on-site Healing Gardens. Limitations: The sculpture pads can hold up to 4,000 pounds. One is 4’x4’, and the other is 5’x5’. Eligibility: This call is open to all MSA Professional artist members aged 18 and over. Selection Process: Applications will be juried by the MSA Board of Directors Outdoor Committee. Selected works will be approved by Siskin Hospital before official acceptance notifications are sent. Exhibition Details: 2 selected sculptures will be installed onsite at Grady’s Garden for a period of 2 years. Selected artists will receive $5000 for the 2-year exhibition.
